Joy in July
We’d like to invite someone to share their story on each Sunday in July. We’d also like to include stories in the weekly update and in video links. If you have a story that you’d like to tell, write or film, please get in touch with Teash at teash@stkildabaptist.org and she will find a way to help you share your story.
Deacons will meet this Thursday 23rd July at 7.30pm. If you have any issues you would like raised please email David Wright.
Using Zoom for our worship times Many thanks for all your feedback from last Sunday and Thursday evenings service. It appears that Zoom is the preferred medium for our gatherings and we are getting better each week with using it. Thank you for your patience as well during the services if things do go awry. Perhaps a few reminders of Zoom etiquette that may be helpful to our gatherings:
- please keep yourself on mute unless you are speaking
- If you are moving around while listening, please close your video as it can be distracting for others
- Don’t forget that you can send chat messages to the host, to all or to individuals during the session to help make it more interactive
We are aware that there are several folk who do not have either a computer or good internet access. We are looking at ways to enable everyone to be able to join in the service but with the current lockdown we cannot invite others into our homes to watch the service together.
Do you have a spare laptop or tablet that you are not using that could help someone to join the service? We are also looking at ways to help with internet access and to help with data usage as well. If you can help please let Teash know.
Kitchen renovation update: The kitchen is well under way; we are waiting on the benchtops and once they arrive the stainless-steel sinks and benches can go in and the final plumbing and electrics will be done. The end result will be a safer and more productive space for preparing meals for our CK community.

We are a community of people drawn together by the love and grace of God
exemplified for us in the life of Jesus.
We welcome everyone.
This includes people of all cultures, races, religions,
mental and physical capabilities, sexual orientation and gender identity.
We are committed to peace with justice, and the integrity of all creation.
